In honor of a new decade, I thought I'd create my top 50 movies that came out between 2000 and 2009. It took quite a while to make this list, but after completing it, I feel it accurately describes my favorite movies. So that's my list. I haven't seen Avatar yet, but when I do, I imagine it will make this list. I hope you enjoyed my list. If there are any movies you think I should have put in my list, let me know and I might reconsider. My next post will be about Sundance again previewing another movie I think would be interesting to see.
What a great list! I agree with most of what you put on it, and keep in mind that I haven't seen all of these movies yet. The only movie I would ask you to consider adding is "There Will Be Blood." Once again great list! I think it represents this past decade well and what it brought to the cinema.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that was a hard movie to place. I didn't put it in there at first because, while it's a great film, it seemed to capture human nature all too well and because of how the movie is I didn't like how it portrayed humans. After giving it a lot of thought, it is an accurate depiction of humans and I can't not put it in simply because I was slightly uncomfortable with how evil and selfish humans can be. All of that to say, it's a great movie and it should be in my list. So thank you for your suggestion!
ReplyDeleteOf the ones I've seen, this is a solid list. I'm going to have to work on seeing the ones I haven't seen though.
ReplyDeleteEven though it was number 50 on your list, I'm so glad that The Pianist made it. It's one of my favorite movies and I'm glad for the reminder to see it again!
ReplyDeleteA little disappointed that Donnie Darko isn't on the list, but otherwise it's quite good.
ReplyDeleteI actually haven't seen Donnie Darko so it wasn't eligible for my list. I've wanted to see it for a while. Hopefully I will soon. I've heard good things about it so I'm sure it would be up for contention.
